Dream Interpretation: Terminal Illness

Visitor's Dream: 'Last night I dreamt that I was bathing in a pool of mineral water. I became aware of three large areas on the back of my neck that didn't seem normal. I consulted a doctor, who told me that two of the three areas would heal, but the other one would have to be tested. It slowly dawned on me that the doctor thought it was very serious. I asked him how long I had to live, and he said, 'Five months.' I was absolutely shocked as it was completely unexpected. I woke up and remembered the dream vividly.

I can't remember much about the doctor - not even if it was a man or a woman, although I have a sense that it was a man.

I can't think of anything in my personal life that could have triggered the dream - I don't have any heath concerns.'

Hi,
I believe this dream may be about presenting one self to the world in a pure way but having repressed old wounds that remain hidden from view. These wounds remain attached to you but only reach consciousness if you feel for them. Their presence bothers you; you wish to heal but are scared the major wound, once tested (analysed) may lead to your demise (emotionally).

Hi J,

Yes, that makes a lot of sense to me. But how do I find out what the wound is about? Also, I'm scared that the dream is indicating that an aspect of my life will die in five months. So might that be a relationship?

Maybe the wound itself is FROM a prior relationship and is impacting upon your current one?

I'm not sure. I don't think it has anything to do with a previous relationship. I've really been trying to figure out what the wound is, but nothing comes to mind. I'll keep thinking about it. Thanks again for your help.

Btw, how do I know if a dream is prophetic or not?

Hey,
prohpetic dreams generally appear as images we would see in waking life. Many of my clients who have prophetic dreams typically tell of one of two ways they were revealed, a) via a deceased person in the dream, or b) seeing it (the event) as it happens.
I do not believe your dream in this instance is prophetic but lets try and work through it. You said after my 1st post that aspects made sense. What in particular made sense to you? Be very specific.
